Who am I?
I am a skilful, compassionate and pragmatic psychotherapist with a singular vision for helping people build the capacity to live and love by taking responsibility for their own lives.
I am a graduate of the Hakomi method of psychotherapy and have a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology. After meeting me you will quickly realise that my approach is dedicated to equipping you with the awareness and the tools you need to remove the obstacles that are preventing you from being the person you wish to be. Here is a link to a short video where I talk about what I call ‘Noble Anger’. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0RJ-qTm96ac
In simple terms I seek to wake people up to the truth that whilst we all may sometimes feel broken or believe that we are suffering from disease or disorders these are usually the adverse effects of becoming disconnected from our true selves.
I have extensive experience in helping people deal with anxieties and issues in areas such as addiction, anger, trauma, anxiety, relationships – including couple counselling and parenting.
I also run workshops helping groups of people ‘Turn a new leaf’ www.turninganewleaf.com.au and become more mindful through car maintenance, http://www.turninganewleaf.com.au/car-maintenance-and-mindfulness/. I am also an active leader in the Mankind Project, www.mkpau.org and work with disadvantaged young people.
My decision to become a therapist came about through a gradual realisation that to help others was my true calling. To hear more about my journey watch the short video here.(link to follow)
